Brickell is a thriving, urban neighborhood within the City of Miami. Located just south of Miami’s historic Central Business District, Brickell is currently Miami and South Florida’s major financial center. Brickell is situated south of the Miami River, and encompasses the area from SW 26th Road/Rickenbaker Causeway to the south, 15th Road to the west, and Biscayne Bay to the east. Many upscale apartment and condo towers line the streets of Brickell. Additionally, there are many high-end restaurants, stores, and entertainment options.
Brickell was first settled by early pioneers in the mid-1800s; and, in the 1900s, quickly grew to become known as Miami’s “Millionaire’s Row.” Lavish mansions were built along Brickell Avenue, during the early days. Office towers, hotels, and apartments began replacing the gorgeous historic mansions in the 1980s and 1990s. Today, Brickell has one of the fastest growing residential and most dense populations in the nation. This luxury Miami neighborhood has grown to be one of the largest financial districts in the United States.
Mary Brickell Village, a popular hub for dining and play, is located at the center of Brickell; and, provides residents a place to dine, shop, and unwind. This gathering spot provides an assortment of upscale boutiques, restaurants, and other services. Mary Brickell Village was designed after French-style villages that attract community members to attend social gatherings and entertainment options. Fortunately, most Brickell residents are within walking distance to this fantastic enclave.
Although Brickell has traditionally been known as a financial district, in recent years Brickell has also become known for the construction of some of the most expensive condos and mixed-use developments in Greater Miami. Brickell has some of the most iconic skyscrapers in Miami, such as the Four Season’s Hotel and Tower, the Miami Tower, the Atlantic Condominium, and the Infinity at Brickell. In recent years, the urban core of Brickell reaching from Brickell Avenue to the Metrorail, has prompted development growth. Many new offices, businesses, and shopping areas have popped up in this section of Brickell as well.
If you are interested in moving to Brickell and calling Brickell home, there are many wonderful apartments and condos waiting for you. Some of the best condos in Brickell happen to be located in the Plaza on Brickell, and that’s where I come in and can show you many exclusive listings within that development.
